EasyAccessPT

The PQA’s Easy Access Photonics Technology (EasyAccessPT) scheme enables company and academic staff from across Scotland’s Central Belt to use the specialist photonics technology research infrastructure that is available at universities, such as cleanrooms, lasers, metrology, and microscopy.

The PQA Project Delivery Team has developed the EasyAccessPT scheme in response to industry feedback. The aims of the scheme are to:

  1. provide capital- and resource-starved small companies and start-ups with access to specialist facilities;
  2. promote culture change and career paths into industry through technical interactions between companies and individual PhD/doctoral researchers; and
  3. to improve the use, maintenance and retention of academic facilities.

We have created a downloadable database of photonics instruments, equipment and infrastructure that is available at the PQA’s four partner universities.

If you’re interested in using university equipment, or would like to include your company’s equipment in the database, please contact PQA Impact Development Officer Alan Keenan at alan.keenan@strath.ac.uk.
